JD McLucas
JD McLucas is one of the two authors of the Sagas of Odenseye (along with Ryan McGuire). He is responsible for the entirety of the applied writing on the books, as well as a substantial amount of worldbuilding and storycrafting. Beginning his writing journey in his early teen years, JD carefully built and crafted his writing skills over the course of a decade and a half, working on numerous personal and unpublished products before finally finding himself ready to move on to becoming a published author.
Born in the small, rural town of Benton Pennsylvania, JD enjoyed an early life filled with the outdoors; from fishing to hiking, the plentiful nature surrounding his home left a deep imprint on him, granting him an appreciation of even the smallest of details and a respect for even the most minute of lifeforms. In this appreciation and respect, JD gained an eye for detail and a creative drive that persists to this day.
JD's inspirations include David Lynch, George Lucas, RA Salvatore, JRR Tolkien, Karen Traviss, Frank Herbert, and many more uncountable authors, directors, and creatives of all kinds.
JD lives in Columbia, South Carolina with his family and cats (Tali, Tovarishchi and Wedge). Diagnosed with Autism in 2019, he seeks to continue learning about himself, the effects of the disorder, and what he can do to help others in similar situations. He is also hard at work on multiple books, including a yet-to-be-revealed noir series and the continuation of the Sagas of Odenseye.
